Business with the Department of Health and Human Services
In 1953, the Ministry of Health, Education and Social Affairs Ministry has been a ministerial level in the United States. In 1979, the Department of Education Organization Act HEW split into the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Social Services. HHS is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of residents of the United States. This mandate also extends to the international border health and safety issues.
HHS manages over 300 programs with a budget of over $ 737 billion. HHS mission covers a wide range of issues of rights, including drug abuse, Medicare and Medicaid, child health, health disparities, disease prevention and health promotion. It is the largest division of the federal government’s decision to grant.
In 1979, the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business use to develop and implement awareness small business community. The Board maintains its use by small trade fairs, procurement conferences, trade group seminars, conferences and forums.
The Office of Small Business Development also called OSDBU will host the meetings of awareness of the seller, which occur twice a month. The purpose of these meetings is to present and inform providers about the program of small businesses and provide information to enable them to effectively market their products and services of HHS.
The Department of Health and Human Services is the sole executive body, where small business specialists report to the Director, OSDBU. The small business specialists are located in eleven HHS agencies.
Each day, these specialists work with contractors and office staff of the program to determine the best acquisition strategy, they also work on their approach, so that when dealing with suppliers of Health and Human Services, this unit will benefit from uniform do.
